The Prefecture of Evritanis is one of fifty prefectures of Greece and belongs to the region of Central Greece. Capital of the prefecture is Karpenisi.

The prefecture is almost entirely covered by mountains, including Timfristos and Panaitoloikos on the south and rivers including Acheloos on the west, Agrafiotis on the east and Megdova also on the east which spills in the Ionian Sea and has a ski resort. It is one of the less inhabited prefectures of the Greece. The prefecture borders with Aetoloacarnania on the west, southwest and south, with Karditsa on the north and Fthiotida on the east.

The prefecture of Evitania is located at the center of the Greek territory. Its main characteristics are the tall, full of fir trees, mountains and the rich in water springs, the relatively mild climate, with snow during the winter and the cool summers. The alpine landscape of Evritania has much to offer the visitor, tourist, traveler.

During the winter the ski resort operates tracks of all levels. It has beginners tracks as well as tough tracks for those who seek the adrenaline rush. At night you start of with a stroll through the city and village streets, then dinner next to the fireplaces of the taverns and then constant fun with drinks and music.
